We also give thanks for the upcoming season of Advent, a time to step back from the hustle and bustle of the world around us, and prepare for the coming of Christ. On December 1 we will light the first candle on the Advent wreath. Advent Vespers will be offered on December 4 and 11 with a Taize-style contemplative service beginning at 6:30 pm. On December 18 we will have a hymn/carol sing, also at 6:30. This is a great opportunity to invite your friends to join you for a time of quiet in this hectic season.
